  • Supports with base/s in lunge
  • Basic balances involving bridging positions

On the Trampoline students will learn: 

  1. Basic trampoline moves leading to front landings and back landings
  2. Hands and knees turnover to back, ¾ front somersault to back
  3. Progressions leading to forward somersaults, tucked and piked
  4. Progressions leading to backward somersaults tucked, piked and straight
  5. Barani (tucked and piked)

Depending on the students individual competence, progression and skill level on the Trampoline, they will also learn the following:

Somersaults up to 450° with and without unlimited twist including somersaults from
body landings.
b) 1 ¾ front somersault ( tucked and piked)
c) Double forward somersault from back landing ( tucked and piked)
d) Half out ( tucked and piked)
e) Double back (tucked and piked)
f) Linking and phasing skills

The Double Mini Tramp will be used for pupils to perfect moves such as the back flick, front somersault, barani and is an excellent aid in helping the Student make the transition from the trampoline to the floor tumbling work. It will be mainly used for acrobatic drills and repetition work.

This discipline is a practical skills session, utilising all of the Gymnastic and Acrobatic equipment in the training space. It’s a free Gymnastics class under the supervision of the Tutor and will allow the students to become more creative with their taught skills.
Some of the moves that will be taught in the Freestyle classes include:

Safety roll
BASIC VAULTS: Monkey/Kong vault, Speed vault, Dash Vault

FLOOR SKILLS: L-Kick/Au Batido, Kip
UpButterfly Kick, Kick the Moon, Free cartwheel, Wall flip, Palm/Wallspin
Static Gainer, Dynamic Gainer, Corkscrew

Polichinelo  Circus school

every morning there will be a 1 hour warm-up/ body conditioning class in preparation for the Acrobatic training.

body conditioning is designed to promote flexibility, stamina and strength. The classes are an important part of the course as they give students good body awareness, better style of performance and help the Student with their co-ordination.

The students will also be taught biomechanical principles (body mechanics) to give them a better understanding of Rotational, Projectile & twisting motions.
